The Appraisal Hub takes the security of our customer personal information very seriously. We have implemented multi-layer controls to protect sensitive information:

Authentication (Username and Password): Your username and password are unique to your account and should not be shared with anyone. You should change your Password periodically and always remember it. No one from The Appraisal Hub will ever need to ask you for your username and password when servicing your account.

Automatic session time-out: A signed-in session on this The Appraisal Hub website that shows no online activity for two (2) hours is automatically discontinued, to protect from unauthorized access. We strongly recommend to logout of the signed in session before leaving the system used to access the website.

Firewalls: The computers that run our website are protected by firewalls that prevent unauthorized access to our network. Our firewalls are constantly monitored to prevent security breaches.

Password and Security Procedures

Certain areas of this Site may be password protected. Upon becoming a member of The Appraisal Hub's panel of appraiser/customer (Customer), you will self-select a password, which will allow you access to your account information. We have the right to assume that anyone accessing the password protected areas of this Site using a password assigned to you has the right to do so. Any of The Appraisal Hub's transactions, including, but not limited to accessing account information, initiated by you or person(s) acting on your behalf by entering the correct password is deemed to be acting with your full authority.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You will be solely responsible for the activities of anyone accessing this Site using a password assigned to you, even if the individual is not, in fact, authorized by you. If your password is lost or stolen or is known by another individual, you must notify us immediately and change your password if you believe your password may have been compromised or used without authorization. The Appraisal Hub reserves the right to prevent your access to the Services should we have reason to believe the confidentiality of your password has been compromised.

Glossary

  • Companies we work with.These companies are any third-party agents that conduct business on behalf of The Appraisal Hub. The services they provide include, but are not limited to, communications (e.g., email), marketing, data processing, customer acquisition and servicing and advertisement management. When we use other companies to provide services for us, we require them to protect the confidentiality of information they receive
  • Cookies.A cookie is a small text file that a web server may place on your computer when you visit a site. The file uniquely identifies a computer. Information stored in a cookie sent by The Appraisal Hub can only be read by The Appraisal Hub or companies we work with.
  • IP Address.An Internet Protocol address is a unique number, assigned to a computer or device that connects to the Internet that identifies that computer or device.
  • Marketing Segments.These are groups of unique individuals or users categorized using information such as behaviors, demographics, attitudes and/or geographic differences. The pixel tags on The Appraisal Hub's sites are set only by companies we work with and supervise. In order to ensure the safekeeping of your information, network advertising companies and publishers are not permitted to directly collect information on our site.
